Does anyone know the starting and ending point of the bike route along Bush Highway and Usery Pass Road ? I have found mile post markers for several mile posts. |

I've done this "loop" a few times...just road north on Power, down the hill, along Bush Hwy (more uphill than I thought there'd be) then made the right turn onto Usery Pass Road/Ellsworth...there is plenty of room along the road, and as it is popular with cyclists, drivers are usually decent, usually... _________________ -Colin

How long is this loop & how would you rate it for a novice ? _________________ Photos: http://www.pbase.com/desertgirl/galleries

I generally make it around a 25 mile ride...usually I warm up for a bit...I'm not sure how long it'd be if you just looped Usery Pass-Bush Hwy-Power-McKellipps-back to Usery Pass....could be cool though
As for rating it...I personally think going south on Usery is tougher than going south on Power...but others may disagree...I'd say I was a novice the first time I did it...I certainly had to take a few rest breaks on the uphill...
I think if you had plenty of h2o and were prepared for a long ride, you'd be alright...
Just so I'm clear...I'm talking about Road Cycling, not Mtb... _________________ -Colin

I have done the route several times with my street bikes. I have parked and rode done along the Salt River segment on my mtn. bike. |
