Very cool.

Smithsonian Magazine last month had an article about an adolecent orca that became very human-attached-followed boats, sought human touch, hung around people every chance he could get.

interesting about Whangarei beaches is that even out 300 feet the water isnt real deep. That 9 ft. white shark must have had some nerve coming in that shallow water.
Its a gorgeous country to visit, the south Island is particularly great for hiking-sharks or no sharks!
