This is the first of a couple of tune-up hikes I will be doing to see how my knees hold up.

The loop that GTG and I have done combines several trails and ends up being around 7+ miles. It's a pretty cool loop - and it will definitely give you a workout. I will be leaving from the 32nd st. entrance to the park at sunrise (about 7:00).

Anyone interested is welcome to tag along. The pace will probably be moderate to fast at some points and will take us till about 10:30 or so to complete the loop.

Hey guys! I'd like to tag along if you don't mind. I'm not familiar with the 32nd St. trailhead though. Is this by 32nd St and Lincoln? Or on the north side of th park?

I'll have to say Daddee's knees may be sore but it didn't keep us from attaining a 3 MPH average on some pretty decent hills around the park today. azhiker96, mike t, kurthzone, Daddee and myself headed out this morning about 7:15. It turned out to be azhiker96's first time in Squaw Peak Park. We showed him thing there that people hiking there for years don't know. We got to hike in a bit of a slow mist of rain for about 30 minutes. There were more people on the Circumference Trail than I have ever seen. We modified the loop again and it shortened the trip from 7 miles to 6.6 miles. It was a great day for some great people for a great hike.

Nice hike guys. I enjoyed the good company and weather. Daddee how are your knees? My right knee ached for the remainder of the day, but feels fine today. I'm looking forward to getting it checked out this month and the problem being eliminated if possible.

I'm totally fine. No pain that day or today. VERY unexpected baised on the previous two trips. I guess strength training really does help.

And I agree with everyone - good company, good hike, good times.
