I threw a recipe together for some dried kielbasa to take on the trail and it's REALLY good so I thought I'd share it with everyone. This will probably work well to make a JD beef jerky too. PM me for my homemade BBQ sauce recipe or you can use a good bottled one.

Trish's JD Dried Kielbasa

Ingredients:

1 all beef kielbasa (about 1 pound)
1/4 cup Jack Daniels Bourbon
1 cup BBQ sauce

Cut kielbasa into 1/2 inch pieces. Put into ziplock bag with bourbon and let marinade in refrigerator for 24 hours. Drain in colander.

In a bowl, mix kielbasa pieces with BBQ sauce. Place kielbasa pieces on trays in dehydrator and dry for 5-7 hours. **drying times depend on the type of dehydrator you have.
