Oh yeah, BTW. Are you having fun yet?
I think you need to add the one where you're pulling your hair out! _________________ Steve |

That's interesting Steve, I'll watch for that, thanks. I remember on the Site Pasado, several seconds after your post submitted, you'd be redirected to the topic and the page would scroll to that post. I haven't noticed that happening here. This is the same forum software that was used there (I turned Teva on to it), so I'm not sure why it'd behave differently. Maybe that was a mod he added. If so, I'm sure I can find it and add it here. _________________ |

Actually, I'm having a blast. This is the sort of stuff I do for a living, too. It's rare to have a job that you enjoy doing during your time off, so I guess I'm lucky! Besides, I can't afford to pull too much hair out... _________________ |

Glad to hear that you're have fun doing this! When it starts getting too much, let us know. Or should I say, when it gets too much for Mrs. Mike, let us know? Doing it for a living and doing it on the side at the same time can be a little much at times. Know what I mean??
And about the hair, I ain't got that much either, so........ _________________ Steve |

Mike, it happened to me this morning. I just logged on to see what was going on yesterday and today, and from the first time I viewed the board, they all showed as read. Not sure why, but just letting you know it happened to me too!! _________________ Blond, James Blond... double "O", uh oh!!

Dadded, et al, do you guys login in and out, or have you set the board to automatically log you in? I've never had this happen on this board, but I do recall it happening a few times on the other site. If we can figure out some common thread between the people seeing this, it might help figure why and how to fix it. _________________ |

I am automatically logged in on my home computer. This is where I was this morning. I didnt do anything, but open the site from my favorites list on my browser, like I always do. Now this time, it worked fine... no problems this afternoon. _________________ Blond, James Blond... double "O", uh oh!!

I only log on to the site from my home pc (dell). I log on/off manually each visit. The problem seems intermitent(sp?). I haven't noticed a corelation with any particular action yet...but will pay attention. Have noticed that if I allow some time to pass--it works normally on the next visit but not if I log off and right back on, the problem remains. Hope that helps give you a clue.
But it's no big deal one way or the other.... _________________ All our dreams come true if we have the courage to pursue them...Walt Disney |

Well, the last two times I have been on it hasn't been doing the "mark all topics as read" automatically thing. So whatever you did - it seems to have worked.

Ah, the freakiness that is computer programming for the web. The arcane art of coding a web site.
Mike - I think you need to install another batch of chicken gizzards - the old batch is getting a touch old, rancid and smelly (much like me). _________________ "Only small minds want always to be right."
