Sorry for your back problems. I sure hope it's not a herniated disc but the MRI will confirm that. Do you have a good back specialist already? Since I work for a group of Orthopedic surgeons I can get you a name if you need one.

On the flip side.......congrats on your new addition. October is a cool month to have a birthday!

Hope your back gets better for you. It is a big bummer. Basketball has really messed up more than a few of my friends. The stress on the body is extreme when you play it hard.

yah, that stinks. i guess all u can do is practice meditation or something instead for now. i really have a hard time slowing down, too. I'd hate it. I had Valley Fever (the drs thought it was pneamonia) and the doctors told me to rest. Well, i was resting. I was in MA visiting family, so I hiked, ran, road my mtn bike and all the things I do to relax/rest. Word of advice: ask you Dr what his definition of rest is. Mine was quite different than my dr's.
