I started seeing the Z-coil shoes a few months ago, and today I talked to a guy who was VERY enthusiastic about them.
They don't necessarily look all that attractive, but they have a hiking shoe version:
And they aren't cheap - the running shoe is apparently around $180. They have stores in A.J., Gilbert, Scottsdale and a bunch of other places in AZ.
I was just wondering if anyone has some direct experience with these shoes. _________________ "Only small minds want always to be right."

My friend Jerry thinks he's all MJ in them. I'll send you his email if you want it. I'm not so sure I'd would be happy in them. They look incredibly energy robbing as well as pressure point inducing. I'll stick to my flats for a while.

I agree - they look sketchy to say the least. The website gives all kinds of data to back up that they in fact give more energy and reduce pressure points.
But then, they are marketing the thing so what can you expect.
They guy I talked to said the same stuff as the website though.
I may have to go to a store and try a pair on just to see what's up. _________________ "Only small minds want always to be right."

My parents both love these shoes and, like Fairweather's grandpa, claim that they have helped with their knee problems. They mostly wear them for walking the dogs around the neighborhood though. I frankly think that they look pretty unstable for use on trails. Who wants to hike in high heels? _________________ "Men wanted for hazardous journey. That spring looks like a great place to store any sticks and scree you might want to take with you when you come crashing down on the trail. |

Looks like you could avoid climbing entirely with those babies....just get a running start and catapult yourself (hopefully) up a mountain. I'd hate to over estimate the distance though.

And all this time I thought you were a really nice guy Hnak! Now I know that you are truely a smart aleck deep in side! You fit in quite well around here!
I do like the idea of the catapulting to the top though.... but that would take away all the challenge of getting there.... but it would be much easier... _________________ ~~~Diane~~~
