Anyone up for some whacking of the bushes tomorrow?
I'm doing some exploring in lower La Barge if anyone's interested. You'll need to prepare for a full day of boulder and thorn dodging as well as bringing your snake spotting goggles. I'll post back here tomorrow evening with the results.

Sorry I had to bail on this Todd, just got home from work after about a 24 hour stint, I was looking forward to it. _________________ Our lives are not determined by what happens to us but by how we react to what happens, not by what life brings to us, but by the attitude we bring to life. |

I didn't finish everything that I wanted but it was a great day. I'll post a log later tonight and pictures on Monday.

We hiked the lower trail through Haunted Canyon to Tony's Cabin on Saturday. The entire creek was lined with pink, yellow and purple flowers. It was absolutely beautiful. The pics should be up in the gallery shortly. My feet do have new blisters on top of the old blisters but I will spare you all the photos of those. |

Question Suzaz. Did you take a tripod with you to take some of those shots? I just bought a digital camera and I'm learning how to use it. These pictures are gorgeous! |

Thanks for the compliments on the flower pictures. The trail was even more gorgeous than the photos show.
No tripod used yet. I have seen those little mini flexible ones and at times think one could come in handy. I have to be really fast when I'm on the ground snapping pics because my darling dog seems to want to taste all the flowers that I put my lens near.
Good luck DoFear with your digital camera. We will be looking forward to what you have to share. |

When I saw this post, I thought...now that sounds like a good idea...then Saturday morning rolled in, as did a microburst storm, and the 45 foot tall tree in my front yard ended up in the street. So I spent Saturday whacking a tree, and I don't think it was nearly as much fun as Todd had... _________________ -Colin
