Congrats to you and Mrs. Mike too. I have a 2 year old son also and he's great. Kids are so fun. I can't wait to be able to hike with them both as they get bigger. I used to carry my son in a backpack carrier all the time until my prego belly got in the way. He did great. Loved it back there. He now walks the trails with me but we only do about 1/2 mile at the most and totally flat.
If you guys look into a backpack carrier let me know, I have two and you are welcome to try them out to see if you like the brands.

In this case, Mike, you could consider your "little hiker" a luxury item right?
I mean after all you can have them carry 10 pounds of your gear! Very Happy

Yeah but with each little hiker you bring along, you get to carry 30 lbs more kid crap. It's amazing how much stuff you end up having for small humans. I need a bigger dog so it can help me with the stuff, or pack goats! hmmm Confused
