Well, I think everyone noticed Joe starting to taper off his involvement in the site socially. At least I did.
I was shocked to see the "bye" page one morning as all the rest were too I'm sure. That sure was a lot of good information he had there.
I wouldn't be surprised if someone bought him out of all that info. It's a cruel nasty world out there.
Hi to all by the way... |

might of been nice if he gave some sort of notice that it would be closing down on some sort of date and gave an explanation.
That way it could of given us some time to get this site going and not have the panic of this community dieing.
I know alot of people put alot of work in the haz site and its a bummer knowing my work and everybodys work is lost forever. It deffanatly took research and time to fill out Joe's add a hike forms. _________________ Mountains are there to be climbed!

Good luck on the selling gang. So no one knows what happened to Teva huh? Maybe it was research - we'll probably be hearing from Teva when he rights a book with all that great info from the site! |

Now that wouldn't be a half bad idea for him to do. It certainly wouldn't be any worse than your average falcon guide _________________ "Only small minds want always to be right."

Dang, we might of made him rich. And all the info I could of withheld...
I can't say I really like the falcon guides, they lack pictures and are not really interesting to read. I'm sure Teva could do a much better job then the falcon guides. hikearizona had some really good info on it and some stuff could not be found in to many books if any. _________________ Mountains are there to be climbed!

HAZ didn't cost me a cent. I sure did get a lot of value out of it though including trail information, some cool links, addictive games, good friends, and interesting banter on a variety of subjects. I don't know why Teva made the site or why he closed it. I'm sure it took a lot of time, money, and energy. If it had been me, I would have spent that time on the trails. I miss the site. But, the sun is shining and the outdoors is calling. I better answer the call now while I can.
Good hiking! |
Amen. Case closed.

Good to see you two in here again. I thought you got too busy for us or something. How goes the hiking?

I actually asked what happened to the forum and Joe informed me that he would rather be hiking than talking about it. I can understand that sentiment, I also would rather be hiking rather than talking about it. |
