Mike great example of the east coast and why I get depressed everytime I visit there. It's always gray, overcast and depressing when the plane lands. If the sun is shining most likely it's humid and everything sticks to you. No thank you!

This is the scene in my hometown (Greenville, SC) today: |
Yo. Check the snow plow and all the salt on those roads. I've almost forgotten having to replace my car every three and one-half years due to salt damage. Fun times in four-seasons places! Arrgh! |

That's highly unusual winter weather for Greenville. If they get snow, it's usually once or twice a winter and no more than a couple of inches. Today and tomorrow, they're expecting up to 8 inches, which will be the biggest snow they've had in over a decade. So far they had from 3 to 5 inches in the county (it goes from the mountains to the foothills) and it should snow on into tomorrow. The most I remember getting when I lived there was when I was in junior high. We got a foot and were out of school for nearly a week!! 2 inches is enough to shut down the whole city. They just don't have the equipment to deal with it like the cities up north. Why invest in things that are rarely going to get used. _________________ [/size] |
