|
|
|
|
1 lb tomatillos (about 15), husked, rinsed and roughly chopped
1 avacodo, peeled, pitted and roughly chopped
1 serrano chile, with seeds
3/4 cup fresh cilantro leaves (1 bunch)
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
1 teaspoon salt
Place all ingredients in a food processor or blender and puree. Makes about 2 1/4 cups.
A couple of notes... Adjust the heat to your liking by adding more or less chiles. For a thicker puree, add more avocado. I made about 3 batches for the Anniversary Get-together, and didn't strictly follow the recipe. Play with it to suit your taste. The above recipe comes from "The Great Salsa Book", by Mark Miller. If you've ever eaten at La Parilla Suiza, you've probably had their version of this type of salsa. Their's is slightly creamier. I'm trying to achieve their consistency and flavor because it's the best I've ever had! _________________ [/size] |

I think all of us Arizona Hikers should go into business and make
"AZH Supe Juice"
We could then use the profits for everyone to quit their jobs and hike
24/7, what ya think????
GOOD STUFF !!!
