I'm planning a car-camp/hiking/ruins exploration in Sycamore Canyon for Diane's Birthday. We're planning on Friday, Saturday and coming home Sunday, April 27th - 29th. We're taking the dogs and planning on having a great weekend out. Anyone want to joins us?

Tracy and I were talking about a pot luck for Sat evening. I have a bunch of hot dogs and some weinie roasters that we could use over our evening fire. I can bring a salad of some sort. Tracy mentioned that she has some chicken she could bring if others want to bring side dishes we can throw together a fun potluck for Sat the night we are all there. Other meals can be considered an on your own kind of thing.... How does that sound to everyone?
I am so ecited to go hiking with you all again!
Ambika I am sorry you wont be able to make it. Looking forward to seeing your pictures though. I just love humming birds! _________________ ~~~Diane~~~

OK High Noon at Mile High it is.
Looks like you decided on a quick pot luck.
I'll bring a veg tray and some dip? And have a little bit of wood, I'll throw in car
Now to get my stuff together... been awhile and re-arranging, _________________ Wanderingsoul (Michelle)

I'm heading up at around 8:00 this morning (SAT). Bringing strawberry shortcake and maybe a salad. Hope I don't miss the hike!

What a Wonderful weekend. The weather was perfect even at night, not too cold not hot.
Thank you both Todd & Diane for the invite. It was so Very Relaxing. And Todd thanks for taking us to see some ruins, that was really neat. I've never climbed like that up to ruins. It was a great experience for me, some places close to the edge with loose rocks, but I made it just the same and squelched some hesitancy on my part.
Bet the girls slept all the way home. I'm sure they will sleep well tonight.
Happy Birthday Diane, hope you have a Great day!
And thanks again for a wonderful weekend away! _________________ Wanderingsoul (Michelle)

The weekend was fabulous! Thank you to every one who came and enjoyed it with us! And for those of you who missed it, I am sorry you couldn't be there. We missed you all! I thought so many times about all the times we have all hung out together around the fire and on the trail! This weekend was a classic AZH weekend with all the elements but the big crowd. Just as fun, just a little more quiet! The girls added plenty of entertainment!
Todd showed us some amazing ruins. Some I have seen before, some new to me. Snakes on the roads and on the trails.... Food out our ears, laughs till the belly hurt.....what more can a girl ask for!
Here are a few pictures!.....
