|
|
I'm proposing the weekend of August 6th for a fun hike up Granite Mountain, here near Prescott. If you'd like to escape the heat and hike through the ponderosa pines, let me know...
We could camp near Granite Mountain Friday and/or Saturday nights, or just come up for a day hike.
Or, for the really adventurous, we could hike up on Saturday, camp out at my secret campsite on Granite Mountain (known only to the general public), and hike down Sunday morning...

Say Mike! Perhaps you would like to take this opportunity to set up a GHOTM as a backpack to the secret camping spot known only to the general public! _________________ ~~~Diane~~~

Looks like a GHOTM to meeee....
And everyone had a good time. Hopefully it wasn't as HOT as it was in the valley!
Nice shots everyone. Several that I like but couldn't comment, no matter, nice to look at just the same. Cute shot of Lucy & Master at top of Rocks or do I dare say Master & Todd... hehe And for a quick moment I thought ya got Lucy a Hat...
Nice butterfly shot Ambika. They always flit around me, but don't stay still or around long enough for me to snap. I'll just keep trying and one of these days I'll catch one by surprise. Maybe I'm just to slow on the draw! _________________ Wanderingsoul (Michelle)

I finally finished the videos (movies and stills). It ended up being a 3-parter with jazz music background. I will work on the photos this weekend and add them to the album.
Anyway, here are the links:
1) hike to saddle and our time over on the NE side: http://youtu.be/ieYsWKd1fSs
2) hike from saddle to Vista Point and John's bouldering: http://youtu.be/BiytkWb30Vw
3) hike down to the TH: http://youtu.be/wSrqBjFuqeo _________________ Angela from N Phoenix |
