Finally had some time to to set up a tent I bought, a Eureka Alaska Tundra tent. Large 10' x 10' tent that will replace my existing Eureka Equaldome tent. Been trying to get a campsite at Lost Dutchman or Usery since the start of the month but has been full. |

I spent some time looking over Eureka's website just now. My guess is that you got the tent used, since I can only find mention of it on discussion forums, not on their website. Anyway, Eureka makes tents for the military. Eureka makes tents that you could live in for awhile. They make some bomber tents. What they don't make are ultralight tents--their solo backpacker tent is not all that great compared to other brands.
So, I am assuming this is a bomber tent you could live in all summer? I am thinking about buying something like that. Three month road trip, large comfortable tent, etc.
So many ideas about how to spend my summer!
Dude, what do you need a campsite for? Just drive out somewhere and set up! |

It would be fun to live in a big tent all summer. Do you know Karola Saller? She has a mansion.
The door opens like a regular door and it's velcroed instead of zippered. She sets up like a hotel out at the campground. Goose down bedspread, and chairs to sit in the vesible. It's a great tent!
I can't remember what brand it is, but it's huge, and it has good rain fly coverage. _________________ Those who dwell among the beauties and mysteries of the earth are never alone or weary of life. - Rachel Carson |

Hey Deb,
Sounds like Karola lives in a mansion whether at home or on the road! |

Brand new tent made by Eureka for Sportsmen Warehouse. Enjoy camping in the large tents as well as my popup. Fellow cyclist sets up a large Pah-Que tent and gazebo and sleeps on a queen sized bed height inflatable mattress with a memory foam topper.[/url] |

Sounds nice! I like backpacking, but if you are going on an extensive road trip, being comfortable is nice, too. Can you find us a link to view the tent, since I struck out trying to Google it? |

Might have to wait until I use it while camping. |

So do I, but only on weekends--I go backpacking any season, when I have the time. I work for a school district full time and go to college full time. Summer I will have off, if I can hang onto my savings.
I was thinking, however, of an extended road trip, with a comfy large tent. |

I would love to do an extended road trip with a big comfy tent. I have my little backpacking tent.
Looking forward to Spring Break next week to actually spend two days in it in Arivipia canyon. _________________ Those who dwell among the beauties and mysteries of the earth are never alone or weary of life. - Rachel Carson |

I've taken many extended road trips in Utah with my Eureka Apex 2 tent. LOVE IT. It's not overly huge but is a little too heavy for backpacking (5 lbs). But it is getting a little worn out so I'll have to look for another Eureka soon.
