I have worked out my glitch and moved to the sign-up side. I also have a press that I can bring. Thinking Thinking on what to bring, I'll figure out something and post soon.
Will be nice to get away from the heat, or at least a lower heat.
Did I not see it or miss it but has the camping spot been decided? _________________ Wanderingsoul (Michelle)

Camping spot is still open but I suspect it will be along 151 some where where we can have a large group.
We also need to figure out setting up a shuttle by Shultz tank -- need to figure out it the are is open. _________________ Photos: http://www.pbase.com/desertgirl/galleries

Update:
Considering turning this into an out and back. Simplifies things given the fire/flood potential issues on the far end & gives all of us the option to turn back whenever and hike at a different pace. Also saves us setting up the shuttle.
This is hike is too beautiful to stress out about reaching the other end before it rains!!!!
Tracy did some digging and looks like this will be a max of 11 miles RT. I do hope this works for everyone! You are free to turn around at any point and head back to the vehicles! _________________ Photos: http://www.pbase.com/desertgirl/galleries

I think that's a good idea... Now just have to determine a campsite... I'm sure looking forward to the hike! _________________ The world is older and bigger than we are. This is a hard truth for some folks to swallow. —EDWARD ABBEY |

Forest Rd 522 off the Snow Bowl Road has some great large campsites along it that aren't too far in. ( Thanks Kent for the info)
Do you all that are coming think we can find something here and camp ? or do you all want to stic with FR 151 ? _________________ Photos: http://www.pbase.com/desertgirl/galleries

Wished I was more familiar with camping up there to offer suggestions, but either FR522 or 151 sounds fine to me. I just need to know where to head.
Guess I need to just go up and drive around sometime to look at places to camp to be able to be of help here.
I decided to bring Chicken Posole (Mex Chicken & white bean soup) (bowls and spoons). Thinking on something for Sun breakfast, maybe some deviled eggs? _________________ Wanderingsoul (Michelle)
