Oh, Ambika! Those are so pretty!
I guess you can't make it on my raft trip, or I would have heard back from you, right? Oh, well! Maybe next time! |

Went out a couple of days ago to Silly Mtn. area (east side) to photograph when a large bee swarm "visited me". Did not get stung, but did not get any pictures. While camping at Tortilla so many folks were out taking pictures very few places to park. Some would park in the middle of the road, surprized there were only a few accidents. Enjoyed your pictures, cacti are starting to bloom now. |

The deserts are amazing and sublime right now aren't they. Magical to walk through. Love that Fairy Duster. They have caught my eye as well. You have found some great areas.
From the thick fields of poppies to the saturated larkspurs and the billions of tiny blooms, etc, etc it is close to peak. Should be for a few weeks I guess. We have even found a solo African Daisy with two electric blooms and lots of buds out in the middle of nowhere, way off trail. From Africa with love. Saw a few hedgehog cactus blooming too. _________________ Seize from every moment its unique novelty and do not prepare your joys

Ambika,
Those are amazing! The lupine/mexican poppy combination is visually stunning across the deserts right now. _________________ Mountains complement desert as desert complements city, as wilderness complements and completes civilization. - Ed Abbey |

Nice photos!
I have been biking several times in the past few weeks at McDowell and last week was by far the best. Lots of lupine! I can't wait to go this week again. _________________ You can never eat too much candy... |

Bravo! The flowers are amazing this year and you captured them beautifully. _________________ "A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out."
