I am planning to backpack with a friend on Fred Haught trail, starting at Pinchot Cabin, where is there a good camping site? If you could give me an insight on this, that would be great! Thanks!

There was a large fire in the area you may want to contact Coconino National Forest for info.

Apache-Sitgreaves didn't have any restrictions in place last weekend (even through there was a fire right across from us at Chevelon Lake), so im not sure if Coconino would too

When I was in the area the fire was on the Coconino and the smoke was the problem as it drifted into other areas.

I am thinking by Labor Day Weekend, it will hopefully be gone. Then I can really start thinking of where to camp in along the trail.
