will riding my ATV in the desert near GC, i stumbled across the trailhead to Peralta trail. I spoke with some hikers coming off the hike and the woman told me it was in the top 10 hikes in the world?? ...

when I was there in June, I saw 2 hikers turned around by the tribe after they checked them and they didn't a permit. I assume they were sent back to the village.
