Sounds like a wonderful hike. 6 days, thats a long trip

I was just reading this guys report...a 250 mile trek across a good portion of the GC in 55 days...

Yeah......forgot to mention; 80's on the rim....110 on the canyon floor....cools clear down to mid 90's on the floor at night!

Good point... Summer temps are crazy & often avg 5.5 degrees per ...

Figured out you gotta created a bookmark via notes function to get TOPO to work the same as b/4. ( must do for every map )

Can't find a list of enhancements & fixes so I'm not sure upgrade wil ...

Upgrade looks interesting but now I get a map of the midwest each time I launch TOPO for AZ which is a pain Mad

Any ideas on a fix for this Question

I thought there have been studies that have shown that cold weather exercise is harder in many ways than hot temp's?

Anyone recall the specifics? ie. you burn more calories

for $60 you can take a van shuttle via Trans Canyon Shuttle Inc.

I've known people who only wanted a 3 mile ride to the North Rim Lodge and couldn't get anyone to stop. (1 was a good looking gal) ...

there's also the Kaibab Lodge ( about 15+ miles ) from the North Rim

It's tough getting a room at the North Rim Lodge but if your flexible and determined then you should be ok. You just gotta call ...

I've heard of some super hikers driving up from PHX and doing SK-River and back in a total of 5 hours and then driving home.

It's 6.5 miles down SK to the Black Bridge so an ok time for some is 3 h ...
