I didn't hit the trail finally until I moved to Arizona almost 9 years ago. Since then I've logged nearly 1000 miles of hikes, about 3/4 of that within Arizona. I prefer mountains, and my hikes run from moderate to very difficult. I've summited Humphreys 17 times (thrice in Winter conditions) and have made three 14'ers, 4 state high points, and about 8 or 9 county or regional high points. I have 2 daughters, 3 and 6, who sometimes hike with me. I try to hike once every 2 weeks, more often during holidays or scenic times such as Fall colors, with several major trips out of state each year.
