Back packing spur of the moment

Good morning all,

I know when I post at the last minute; odds are low but maybe someone else has the luxury of a vacation now too and can be spontaneous

Any way--later this afternoon or just after rush hour tomorrow morning I intend to head up to Camp Verde then go head up the West Clear creek from the "Bull Pen"end. I have never gone this way so this is more an exploratory and fishing backpack than anything else. Only plan to be gone one or two nights.

I will check back here through out the day; so if you are interested--jump in and I will send you my phone number so we can work out the logistics.

Plan--leave late afternoon today or first thing tomorrow morning and spend New Year's eve out with the "wild things"

Oops--sorry I forgot to post...

Backpacking plans changed a bit. I couldn't get anyone to come along but at the last moment a buddy of mine contacted me about his Christmas gifts for the outdoors. He is a single Dad so he and I altered the plans considerably. We ended up taking our boys and new tent to Apache Lake and camped there at the first camp site near the East end of the lake towards Roosevelt Dam. We then took the boys "exploring", fishing and eating all that good camp food

As it turned out, it was a fantastic way to spend New Year's
