Deanda and I are going to Dominica the end of August and will be doing some diving there. I'm looking for a digital dive camera. I'm not planning on submitting photos to Natl Geographic but I would like something that could be used to print out an 8x10 that doesn't look hand drawn. I'd prefer to keep the price below $500.

If anyone here has experience with and/or really likes a camera that would fit the bill, please let me know.

Thanks,
George

George, I have been using an Olympus Stylus 770SW for about 5 years. It's good down to 33'. We've used it mainly for our beach vacations and multiple snorkeling trips. I've never had it below 15-20' feet myself as we don't dive and I'm not that good of a diving snorkeler.

Here is a review on it. http://scubadiverinfo.com/3_cameras_olympus_770sw.html

Like I said it's 5 years old but I'm sure there is a few newer versions of it.

Also check this post:

It list a couple of options that should fit the bill.

Enjoy the Dominica trip too, we can't wait to explore that part of the world when were done here in Europe.

Thanks for the suggestion Tim. I have an older stylus that is waterproof to 10ft but I checked out the Olympus website. They have a model in their tough series that is waterproof to 40 ft.
