I'll say "maybe" on this one. Last time I was in Haunted Canyon was in 2007 and the trail was a wreck then due to that freak snowstorm.

When you go, where ever is decided, you all have a Wonderful time !

Wish my life wasn't so goofy and interferring so often. Been Hit or Miss with me, seems like forever now.

I'll just have to keep my eyes open for something when posted and hope to be able to join in or try to put a feeler out when I'll have a free weekend

Haunted Canyon was my 2nd Ever backpack and it was Great! Had such a nice time. A chance to learn what a backpack really was and learned so much in one weekend it was amazing! Very Happy It was one large group that time. I was able to hike with so many experienced hikers. A nice Warm Fuzzy

Haunted Canyon is a wonderful hidden place.... although it is possible to hear things out there especially if you don't have a headlamp. Wink

I need to get some bpacking in (especially since I had to back out of my GC/Tonto Trail trip) but I have two caveats to consider:

1) weather, specifically temperature (don't like freezing temps Evil or Very Mad )
2) pace of the hike, specifically speed (not known for going fast Wink )

So if you manage to put this together and think I can play; I'll keep an eye on the board to see what you all decide.

Happy Trails,
Tibber

Well even thought I initiated this it looks like even Lucy and I are out. We have the whole family coming for Thanksgiving and I have some repairs to complete in the house. The concrete guys are also showing up at 7:00 AM Saturday to chip out the kool deck.
Sorry folks,

Awww... sorry to hear that it had to be cancelled. But as Trish said it was supposed to rain and it has been kinda Chilly, so maybe another time will be better anyway.

Dang house stuff, Huh? Why can't things break at a more opportune time and with some slack time betwen them Rolling Eyes
Also had to have a few Necessary repairs done that couldn't wait. But they can quit anytime now ... really
Soon though, least that is what I'm thinking Wink
