Was thinking Lynx Lake but the area is busy, to many hunters along the "Rim" may head for the Upper Verde Valley. Not sure if camper, tent or mtn. bike.

The great thing about that camper of yours is that you can very comfortably extend the camping season to times in late fall/winter, when sleeping out under the stars starts to get pretty cold. Does it have a propane heater in it?

Basic popup camper, Quicksilver by Livinlite. I use a portable propane heater similar to the Buddy Heater. Also have a large 10x10 tent, screened gazebo etc for back country tent camping and I use the military jeep trailer to haul the gear. Also mtn. bike camp and bicycle tour.

I looked at the Quicksilver on their website. It looks nice, could be pulled by my Honda. Different sizes available. Is it warmer than a tent?

However, down in Yuma, where I go in winter, the dealers don't sell those things, and they aren't recommended there due to the high winds. My son was going to buy one but he got talked out of it due to wind issue, when he was living in Yuma. He bought a standard camp trailer, and has since upgraded to toy hauler (he's a motorhead).

Is there a way to stake the Quicksilver down, just in case? I see that you have mostly been going to forested areas with it during the several years we've been chatting. I have always liked the little Casitas, Scamps and Bigfoots, but they are very expensive. But I could spend the winter in one in Yuma.

Unless you are planning on being in the path of a tornado or hurricane you don't have to stake it down. Dealer in Dewey Arizona, Southwest Motors n RV Company rents and sell them.
