We all love our animals and we know the sad day comes. I was blessed with Simba my 18# Snowshoe Siamese and his sister,Ting for 15 1/2 years of a good loving life. Simba defended me and his sibling from dogs people, etc and was a rowdy strong b ig boy you could roughouse like a dog but was also a big purr pillow you could rest your head on and give belly rubs. Three weeks ago Monday, he went down within a week due to kidney issues and it was the saddest day ever. His sister is just starting to eat again. They were very bonded and groomed and slept together. We b oth miss him terribly. They are gifts and all special, but some are b eyond words as Simba was. He was well know by clients, friends and neighbors and will be in my heart forever. Sad

Sorry for your loss, I had a cat that passed a few years back she was fine when I went to bed, however when I awoke the next morningshe was unconscious and unresponsive. Best I can tell from speaking with a acquaintance who is a vet in hind sight she did display some signs of a common illness in cats sort of like a stroke or aneurysm, she was barely 7 and I was not prepared to loose her.

Thanks you all. I don't think you're ever prepared for the loss of a sweet pet and companion. They are the best family.

I'm so sorry to hear this George. Pets do provide you with companionship and love. Looks like one of mine. Both are as you describe, grooming, sleeping, playing together. The one that is left does feel the pain and sadness. You'll need to provide some extra stroking and attention. Be good for you both.

Fond memories of good times does help. Hang in there!

Aww Thanks Michelle. yes ,the litter mate Miss Ting is suffering. I am afraid for her.
I am paying her lots of attention and trying to make her eat more., We both lost weight and she didn't need to. I know she really misses her brother. Long time together.
