Had a great time! Thank you Ambika and Guru for hosting the party in your lovely home! Thank you every one for such a wonderful evening filled with friends and laughter. I was so afraid we were going to miss out on all the fun but Todd worked his little fingers to the bone and got every th ing done just in time. Plans changed but we still made the party! I forgot my tupperware though so didn't get to take enough left overs home.... Everything was so yummy!
The coat fits Todd perfectly and I am sure I will get plenty of use out of the cup! Still think I got robbed when Tom stole his "Whoop Ass Chili" back! Shouldn't there be a rule against stealling your own present!? _________________ ~~~Diane~~~

Ambika, not sure how you found time between your travels to make your house so festive for us , but you and Guru did a great job, it was beautiful!
I'm still stuffed from all the food , it was great to see everyone!

...as long as he can steal it back, he can keep dishing out that "Whoop Ass" year after year! _________________ ~Tracy

Special thanks to Angela for her amazing bar (Gosh how much can you pack into a small cardboard box!) and helping out with the set-up!

Thank you Ambika and Guru. You know how to throw a GREAT party. I always like it when the temps allow you to move in and outside of the house.
The food is kind of like hiking... always an adventure! and like most hikes, it's all good!
It was nice to meet new people and
"Should old acquaintances be forgot?" - never as long as we keep trying to get together once in awhile.
and speaking of Auld Lang Syne check out these lyrics as I think they are apropos to our group:
Quote: |
Should old acquaintance be forgot,
and never brought to mind ?
Should old acquaintance be forgot,
and old lang syne ?
And surely you’ll buy your pint cup ! |
(I'm thinking of a gift Diane got)
Quote: |
and surely I’ll buy mine ! |
Quote: |
And we'll take a cup o’ kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.
We two have run about the slopes,
and picked the daisies fine ;
But we’ve wandered many a weary foot, |
(surely this is all of us hikers, yes?)
Quote: |
since auld lang syne.
We two have paddled in the stream,
from morning sun till dine;
But seas between us broad have roared
since auld lang syne.
And there’s a hand my trusty friend!
And give us a hand o’ thine!
And we’ll take a right good-will draught,
for auld lang syne.
|
CHORUS:
Quote: |
For auld lang syne, my dear,
for auld lang syne,
we'll take a cup of kindness yet,
for auld lang syne. |
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to the great people of arizonahikers.com.
HAPPY TRAILS,
