There's a "chance" that I'll be able to come out for the party. Unfortunately, there's a "good chance" that I won't be able to go. I'm still working it out.

There was talk amongst the searchers this weekend of this party. Unsure of what to do with it due to our situation with our friend GPSJoe.

It was said that his loss is very raw in our hearts right now and perhaps a party isn't appropriate. It was said that talk amongst friends is theraputic as is laughter and love. It was said that having a party on Saturday night would mess up opportunities for those who may other wise join a search-weather permitting. At that it was suggested that the party could be moved to that Friday evening (Dec 10) allowing for those who want to go out and search to still be able to do so.

Our friend Ken (the superstitions) actually has a plane ticket to come join us for the party and now would like to be able to get out at least Saturday if possible to help in the search. So I called to check and he flys in early enough to be able to attend the party on Friday so that would not be short changing him in any way.
(let it be known that Ken made it perfectly clear that "it's not about him") But since he did buy the ticket with the intention of being here for our holiday celebration I felt it might be naughty to move it out from underneath him!

Anyway, Ambika and I would like to put forward the question and get everyone's feed back on moving the holiday party to Friday the 10th? That being asked I would also like to extend the open invitation to all of our new (or potential new) members from over on HAZ. It was an honor to work with you all this weekend and we would like you to feel welcome if indeed it is decided we go ahead with the party.
