Oh, those are gorgeous! Your camera captures way more of the colors and depth than mine ever does! The Tanner shots were familiar, since I have hiked it, but haven't done Beamer. Really liked all the river shots, especially Looked like you camped part way up the Tanner on the way out, right?

We did camp on the way up -- this allowed us to enjoy the journey & enjoy the sunset / Sunrise and hike out when it had warmed up.
Most of these are from my SLR camera (Canon D40) with a sturdy tripod -- you got to get back something for hauling 10lbs of gear! Guru is great at helping with the gear hauling part -- so on trip we go on we take our time & enjoy taking pictures.
Overall, Little Colorado Confluence this late in winter was a dissapointment wrt photographs. We got very little light inthe side canyon & could not get a smidge of sunshine on us for 2 whole days -- the camp gets light only for little bit in the afternoon. _________________ Photos: http://www.pbase.com/desertgirl/galleries

Amazing pictures as usual Ambika, I wish I had the talent and patience to get some pictures like that. Oh how I miss the Grand Canyon and desert hiking. _________________ Please checkout our website for all our travels http://jdombstravels.com/

Tim -- Your pictures are quite nice as well. Dont short change yourself. Both you & Jen do a pretty good job telling a story -- I really enjoy your travel pictures! _________________ Photos: http://www.pbase.com/desertgirl/galleries

I so agree; it was wonderful and I didn't have to get cold or hike up and up and up. Absolutely FAB photos! _________________ Angela from N Phoenix |
