Since the state plans to close most of our state parks, I thought it prudent to check out Picacho Peak and Lost Dutchman to enjoy them while they are still open- here's my report from Picacho Peak and the Flatiron: http://desertsirena.wordpress.com/2010/03/31/a-tale-of-two-doomed-state-parks/

I was at Lost Dutchman a week ago with my daughter and dog, our usual yearly hike and picnic to see the flowers. Someone wrote in permanent marker "Janet Brewer Sucks" on one of the ramada's.

Here in the Seattle area they are threatening to close Mt Si, which I'd say gets similar traffic to Camelback!
