Recently returned from a galyvant in Anza Borrego. Put in a lot of miles and was amply rewarded IMHO. Posted some photo's in the gallery that are different than most I have posted before and they stray a bit from the norm. Hope you enjoy them none the less. I know a couple of people on the site are getting into this type of photography. I enjoyed capturing them. _________________ Our lives are not determined by what happens to us but by how we react to what happens, not by what life brings to us, but by the attitude we bring to life. |

Wow! A lot of those are at Salton Sea, right? That is so cool you were able to capture so many different kinds of birds. I am constantly in awe of good photographers like yourself!
As you may know, I grew up near there, and my very first backpacking trip when I was about 19 was up Coyote Canyon to Alder/Adler Canyon in the A-B State Park. (The Alder/Adler is due to a misspelling on some topo maps. The original name of the canyon is likely Alder, but maps do say Adler. It is among that group of canyons, the popular ones being Sheep and Indian.) I remember coming home with my feet covered in moleskin and blisters, and my hips and shoulders visibly bruised from the too-heavy pack, and my calves and quads painfully sore. But I was hooked. I didn't quit, I just decided to get more fit and lighten the backpack, etc.
Thanks for some great photos! |

Yep, you got it Elizabeth. I have driven by dozens of times, this was the first time I ever stopped. I liked it alot.
Thanks, Ambika, I was hoping you would like them. I just recently started shooting birds and these were my first attempt a bird in flight photo's. That is a very difficult subject, at least for me.
Glad you liked them Tim, hope all is going well with you.
Thanks, threedogz, glad you enjoyed them. Something different. _________________ Our lives are not determined by what happens to us but by how we react to what happens, not by what life brings to us, but by the attitude we bring to life. |

I want to know too. Looks long. Did you get a new lens? I have been doing 7 day treks lately with just one wide lens. I do like your long look though. _________________ Seize from every moment its unique novelty and do not prepare your joys
