Thinking about camping near Portal AZ next month. Will be taking my popup. Noted most campgrounds do not have water. Water available in Portal ? May stay at the campground just south of Portal. Just completed a ten day nine night stay at Tortilla Campground. Couple of days went into town to work. Tortilla Flat sure gets a lot of visitors.

There is a small general store in portal. Not sure about potable water elsewhere. There is the stream in the south fork of Cave Creek, but no camping there. Wink

I think I know this stream, took a nap creekside and was woke up by some german tourist poking me with a hiking stick.

No, I don't speak German, but the internet is wonderful if you look up phrases, like how to say go to hell in German!
