I have a pair of Merrels that i love with one exception. Going down hill, my feet tend to slide forward and my toes feel like they're craming forward.
I get a blisters on the tops of my toes. Is this normal? Are these shoes not fitting properly or am doing something wrong?

you can wear a half size bigger. my feet have grown 1/2 size in the past year. plus, feet swell after walking a bit.

One another thing to note -- make sure your shoes are on snug around your leg/ankle -- lace up right and then your feet will not slide forward.

Mike is right -- 1/2+ size bigger Very Happy I try to shoe shop at the end of the day when I have big feet Wink

Yeah, ditto to both. HOW you lace them is important, and the salesman/woman, if he/she's a good one, (which they almost never are anymore,) will teach you how. Also buying a half-size larger has helped me a lot. I have a very narrow foot and heel, and have to find narrower shoes, but even when labelled "narrow" they are often too wide, so I have to lace them well. I also replace the insoles with better ones such as Spencos or Superfeet.
