I had a couple of April Fools jokes played on me but the best one was last night while at Home Depot at 8:00 picking up my two interior doors for my bedroom my phone rang. It was my son. I said hello, he said hi and hesitated. Then he said "Well, guess what, Jennifers water broke. He was calm and cool and collected. I said "oh my goodness! She is not due for another two weeks!" He: "Yeah, that's what I thought at first but then I thought, well this will be fine. We can make this happen, let's just go to the hospital. Labor is gonna take for ever since her water is spilled and she hasn't even started having labor pains"....I kinda freaked out! Lots of complications went through my head....I started worrying in 2 seconds flat!

My darling son then laughed so hard I thought he would wet his pants! Twit!!!!!

He then explained to me that he and his loving wife were standing in the kitchen making dinner and she turned to walk away and all of the sudden a puddle of water appeared at her feet. She stopped and gasped....He paniced and was ready to go to the hospital when she laughed at him. She had held a plastic bag full of water in her pants and when she turned she bursted the bag and the water spilled. He said it was great and very believable! He was convinced that Madilyn was on her way!!!!

I have to say that was probably the best April fools joke any one has ever played on me! Makes me envious of the fact that I never got the opportunity to do such a thing.... Timing has to be just right for this one! The actual due date is April 22nd and Todd and I are going out to meet our little Madilyn on the 25th so this was perfect timing for a really goos April fools joke!

I had one played on me, too. My son called to say he was in jail, so he couldn't go to California with us the next day, (we planned to pick him up in Mesa on our way here, we are still in Oceanside) because he had to stay in jail for 3 days. He said his license was revoked, his truck impounded for 30 days, that he would lose his license for a year and would have to pay $500 to get the truck out of impoundment, plus more fines. I totally bought his story, asked him why he always has to learn things "the hard way" and that he had better "man up" and tell his dad himself, whereupon I handed the phone to my husband.

So my husband listened to the story and then I hear him saying "How can we help? Can we bail you out?" (Heck, that wasn't something I would have offered. Let the kid sit in jail for three days and learn his lesson is what I thought!) So, from my husband's responses I could hear that Matt was to see the judge in the morning, was hoping they'd let him out sooner but didn't know. Then I saw my husband start laughing and he was going over and looking at the calendar and laughing and saying, "You really got me there!" and he was saying, "See you tomorrow!"

When we got to his house in Mesa we found out his roommates were in on it, too, they had all put their heads together to come up with a plausible story.
