How fun! I haven't seen a javelina/peccary in years, not having spent much time in the desert lately! Actually, now that I think about it, about 4 or 5 years ago there were a couple of them by the Big Lake highway, 261. Partway up is a sort of small wet meadow, and we saw them grazing there several times. But I think that very few javelina migrate up here in summer.

My son saw a coatimundi near Sipe a few years ago. That too is a rare sighting for this area.
