I would like to see my bear canister fit in my golite jam. I know it will standing up, but thats about 2/3 of the back then.

To keep these a hiking goal thread. I'll add in completing all the hikes on my HAZ wish list by the time I leave AZ.

My goals are pretty simple.

* get out and enjoy God's beautiful work whenever I can (whether the hike is a short two hour hike or longer)
* join in at least 50% of the GHOTM

My goal is simply to get out and do something other than work or school.

Ok I am gonna make this simple. My goal is to get back into the hiking shape I was in before I broke my leg when I could do any hike I wanted to do with out worrying about weather or not I could do it. When I can put my hiking shoes on and do my rim to rim to rim and live through it with out pain other than the usual "oh my goodness, I can't move the next morning " kinda pain I will be happy! When I can put a back pack on and hike for 7 days in the Canyon I will be happy! I just wanna have fun again!

This is fun ---thanks rayhiker for initiating this every year. It's always good to look at what others hope to accomplish and finding overlapping plans.

1. Get back on the rock & rope to dangle with the divas once again...if that happens (and it's questionable according the the doc and PT's) maybe a big wall
2. Something new! (like descending into an ice cave but not knitting!)
3. Hike in another country (maybe Italy)
4. Canyoneering Fun--Looking at but not limited to Badger Canyon, Sevenmile Draw, Ash Creek Canyon(fall), Parker Creek Canyon and/or Indian Maiden Falls.
5. Battleship Mountain in the Superstitions
6. Moab trip
7. Rafting something other than my pool
8. Getting a little more use out of my National Parks pass
9. Hiking or climbing something big...intentionally leaving this vague
10. Sawmill Canyon --Sunracer Falls

* to seriously start looking at the 4 Peaks Motherlode......(not necessarily ready to hike it----took me years to get Weaver's Needle Very Happy )

I see these hints / flirts with the idea of an Italy hike. I know it sounds kind of outlandish, but . . . .

Eek WHAT!!??!! Eek

Uhm, NO! Spinning Multi Spinning you didn't mention that........SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET! Are ya flaking it over and over? Making a backpackers coil and walking around the house? I guess that means no knitting needles for you???

Oh my Heck! We should practice.......I know the doc would let me build an anchor (okay, you'll have to dress all the knots)............I've got those tri-cams to use, too...............did you get one of the cool bags?

Does it have the dry coating? Is it 10.3? What color is it? Could you please post a few pictures Very Happy

Yes, we’ll need to practice!! Bouncing When does Ambika get back??

I’ve flaked it a few times (HAD to after the mess I made of it when I uncoiled it), made a backpacker coil, but haven’t walked around the house with it b/c when Rocky first eyed it he instantly thought it was a giant new rope toy for him and leaped for it, (he was thoroughly disappointed when he was met with a knee to the chest) so I don’t want to risk it. It’s safely stored in my gear room, up high. I’ve got part of my REI dividend already marked for that cool bag!

It’s a 10.2, a pretty blue and white (color coordinates with the set of BD Quickdraws I also got), and best I can tell from the tinsy winsy print on the pamphlet (not having the magnifying glasses you received handy) it has the dry coating.

Pretty Sweet indeed! thumbs up
