Well thank goodness there was no one under or along it when it happened. Sad to see that, guess I'll never get to see it now, but Nature does its thing and we need to appreciate what we see when/if we can.
Guess I never thought of them collapsing, but it does make sense when you think about it, Pressure and gravity on the rock.

Wow - I was right unnder that arch in 2005 looking up at it, trying to cram it into my camera ( no it did not fit Sad ).

Its somewhat humbling to see noticable geology happen in your lifetime.

The same forces that broke this arch are currently sculpting replacement arches.
