I need this because my arms alway get out of the bag and I wind up wearing a jacket to sleep. Now I can just wear my bag.

The Wearable sleeping bag

A cool idea, but at 4lbs a bag and only in 40-50 degree temperature not very warm.

A green one could be used on Halloween to play you know who?

Years ago there was the "Elephant Foot", which was a 'shortie' bag that would zip to the bottom of its matching down jacket for sleeping. I'm unsure which manufacturer pioneered the idea, but I'd guess TNF or Eddie Bauer. Subsequent, similar designs are the Nunatak Akula and WM Tamarak.

More similar to the 'wearable' sleeping bag is the Exped 'Wallcreeper" http://www.backpackgeartest.org/reviews/Sleep%20Gear/Sleeping%20Bags/Exped%20Wall%20Creeper/

the problem with the bag (?) above is that it isolates the extremeties from the body core, thus reducing usable warmth and adding weight. Not a good concept since I know of 2 companies that built prototypes like this but did not go thru w/ the design. Maybe the Brits weren't paying attention? or maybe this is an April fools thing like the "edible gear" we saw a few years back.

If it was functional to use it as a jacket as well like Kurt mentions and was good to 15-30 degrees I would love the thing. Heck I'm just happy when a sleeping bag has a foot vent and an extra side zipper for an arm. Staying out that extra bit at camp before heading off to 12 hours in a tent for some sleep.

My down jacket weighs a pound, so I wouldn't mind it if it were the equivalent to a sleeping bag plus a jackets weight, but the 40-50 degree rating isn't going to cut it.

Yeah, the possibilities to use as a Halloween costume, with a few props added, are just about endless!

I noticed that guy is also selling Western Mountaineering Ultralite for only 215. Wow, if I had the dough I'd be all over that. around 115 off the normal price

SIKE! the bag has been bought by our very own Kurt!

I am happy with both my bags except for the fact that my feet always get cold in my 0 degree. I'm wondering if its because I'm short, so there's a bunch of "dead air' in the bag below my feet. I'm 5'2" - should I be looking for a shorter bag, possibly a large kid's size?
