I told you I would be doing it with the help of a certain hiker I know! There is no way I could lead any hike without getting us all lost!

Well let's see doesn't Sedona have a Wildflower Bread Company we could eat at? Even sit outside if we are too stinky? Any other suggestions? There is always the BBQ place up there! I love that place and it would be good after hike food.

Reminds me of something a flight surgeon said to me years ago, "Why do the deaf and blind want to lead?"

Oh, like one of those Mystery Dinner Theater gigs...........I'm liking it. We gather, start, zig and zag......get someplace and try to figure out where we are and how to get back, with little surprise elements thrown in......cliffing out, no trails, wild critters, ..........motivated and driven by the meal at the end......I think you could be on to something here. People might pay a fortune for this sort of a deal................ Laughing GMHOTM

Sounds interesting Diane, I'll have to check to see what that hike is like. As far as not knowing the route? I know your feeling, but I've always tried to prepare myself and give things a shot anyway.

Hopefully by then I'll be have some of my life back.

I am in ...zig zag up n over as long as I do not need to dunk in icy water in a Sedona winter ...

Isn't this wash rather bouldery -- nothing big but rather pebbly (big ones)?
