Also, any volunteers for hosting the event ? Please post if you can host ...

Or may be we can camp at Lost Dutchman State Park or White tanks and do it as an outdoor event ?

I'll host it at my house if it means not having to hike in the White Tanks.

Any of the dates can work for me. As most of you know I'm in North Phoenix just off the 101 at 7th St. A central loaction for many but still far for some. But I will host it if anybody else doesn't want too.

I'd be open to hosting it again, too........but really don't want to do it in the White Tanks, either.

Anyone more in the middle of town interested in hosting?

I'm voting for the 15th. I prefer that we have it at someone's house and not as a campout kind of deal. My vote is also for Hikngrl's house with the firepit lit. Jaimi, how about you doing the cook's club dealie with Christmas cookies in the AM and then the Christmas party at Diane's in the PM?

here are some ideas ..........thinking outside the box.............
Sunset Point Rest Area ramada
A room/suite at the Tempe Buttes or other central hotel for a potluck gathering
A big cabin up at Greer or Sedona--skiing, hiking, cross country, horseback riding
Hot Tub party on Flatiron--maybe someone happens to have an inflatable hot tub???????
gathering and serving food at a shelter
afternoon at papago park followed by tthe zoo lights
progressive party
rent a trolley for viewing Christmas lights
Dinner Cruise on the Dolly at Canyon Lake (not sure of the lake's status)

.....but please not the White Tanks

We've never had a Christmas party at the White Tanks, I'm pretty sure we're safe from ever having one there too! Agree

A progressive party is where you have part of it at one person's house then move on to the next persons house for the next part of it....kind of like a progressive dinner....kind of difficult though when we all live so spread out....
