Hey, I'm so excited....I'm getting a park! Yahoo!

Apache Junction is teaming up with a couple of Gold Canyon groups and we're getting a park!! Hiking Applause

Apache Junction acquired 2000 acres in the Silly Mountain area. They plan to restore/revegitate Silly Mountain since it was badly torn up by motorized toys years ago. The park will include a dog park, bike trails, equestrian trails and hiking trails....plus a parking lot. The construction company that designed Cosmo Park in Gilbert has been hired as the design group.

They have already started construction! Multi Spinning Bouncing

The construction you have observed is for a waterline and not construction for the park. Park design still in the design stage.

The Restoration Project is signed and set to start March 31st and the main trail will be closed until complete. The exciting news is that there is an ENTIRE nice trail system up there now with signs and everything!!

FYI---I have never seen Silly Mountain look more beautiful than it is right now.
