Lockett would be nice might even get some cool colors. But free camping around Kendrick would be great to. I guess I am putting my vote in for the Flag area.

Just about everywhere around Kendrick is National Forest, and a lot of it is fairly flat, so camp wherever you want...

Hey, how about the Chiricahuas or Mt Graham. Although a lot of driving for most of you would be somthing different.
Chiricahuas--Rustler park base or BP/dayhike along crest, Centella Point, peak bag, Monte Vista fire lookout. Nearby is the monument and hoodoo rocks.

Mt Graham, centerpiece hike could be Ash Creek, go as far as you want toward desert floor and return, waterfall, neat trail. Other options for hikes in area too. Camp areas or some at large areas that are pretty big.

Depending on when, count me in! I'm a bit busy in September between work travel and Personal travel - but generally I can work something around weekends.

SECOND that! Uh, I'm in Utah in mid-Sept (YES!), so what are some dates?

Well, Sept. 22nd Dave and his band are playing a gig at the Mad Italian club up in Flagstaff so we'll already be up there. Maybe I could catch the GHOTM if it's that weekend.

Is this a weekend camping trip, or day trip or both? I voted for Flagstaff!

I'll be doing Kendricks Peak next weekend. I'll be too busy with September, working one of the weekends then going to D-backs game on other weekends X2.
