Madera Canyon / Mt Wrightson Construction

Until next March the popular Mt Wrighton trailheads for the Old Baldy & Super Trails up the mtn have been moved...see closuremap pdf below

The detour trail is the Nature Trail which adds a roundtrip total of 3+ miles which includes some hills and a creek crossing.

The road is also now signed above the Nature Trail lot for cars only.

I wasn't impressed with the detour since I was planning on doing to Super Trail which would of made for a 19+ mile dayhike.

Anyone know of any legal shortcuts or nice alt trails to the Peak?

I did hike the road on my return leg via the Old Baldy trail since it was late.
