PINALEÑO PLANTING BEGINNING

SAFFORD, AZ (July 10, 2007)— Pinaleño Reforestation Efforts (Planting) Beginning. The Safford Ranger District, Coronado National Forest is looking for volunteer groups to help with their new planting project. This project will be in the area of the Nuttall/Gibson Complex Fire of 2004.

Groups must be able to provide their own transportation with high clearance vehicles (four wheel drive NOT required; carpooling mandatory due to limited parking), drinking water, lunch, planting tool, hat, gloves, sunscreen and insect repellant. We will provide the seedlings.

Planting is scheduled to start July 17 and any group is welcome. We are hoping to finish the project by July 31.
