Hi everyone,

I can't get onto this site from my home computer, I get the Internet Explorer page that says, can't access. I ran all sorts of spybot, antivirus, etc., still no luck. I called the server, White Mtns. online, they could access the site.

I took computer to my tech, he downloaded Firefox for me, still no luck. He tried changing different settings in my computer. Then he tried accessing it with BOTH of his own computers (he uses a different server than I do.) He can't access it, either. Then I was at my chiropractor's, he has a wireless connection. His won't work either. I am now at the public library, which has a T-1 line, in use for county and schools. It works here, as you can see!

I can get on any other website, just not this one. Help!

Strange, I've accessed the site several time today with no problem. Unfortunately, the real high tech wizards, GTG, HIG and Stan are all in the canyon for nine days. Hopefully this is a temporary problem. Sorry I can't be of more help. I checked you full profile and changed a few things; Checked yes to "Allow HTML" and checked yes for popups when you get a PM. Basically your profile is now exactly like mine, except you don't have moderator or administrator status.

Go back in the address bar and re-type the address letter for letter and enter. If it flys, save the page again to favorites or bokmark or whatever.

Her tech and chiropractor probably had to do that on their computers, so doesn't sound like that's the problem. Weird! Confused

Got PM from her and she had to leave 'cause library was closing.

Got a HAZ PM from azbackpkr with her e-mail address, so have sent e-mail with all the above suggestions. We'll see if they work.

Ok you guys, knock it off. Must be the water, no one else in Eagar can get on either, except for at the library. I asked several people to try it for me, and none of them have the same ISP as I do. Weird, huh?

I did clear history, checked for trusted sites and restricted sites, all looks ok there. I have tried typing it in, tried everything.

Well, I'll talk to you guys later, next time I go to the library! You can PM me on HAZ if you want to.

Thanks for all the suggestions,
Elizabeth

I'm at work right now, works fine here. Miss you guys!

If you want to get in touch quickly, PM me on HAZ, as I said before. (That's hikearizona.com for the uninitiated.)

Thanks,

Elizabeth

The access problem may have something to do with CALEA.
It's the internet equivalent of a wire tap. The compliance date
was May 14th . Each ISP had to install new equipment to allow
the FBI to view what you’re viewing. Shocked

OK, it's fixed, not sure why. Fingers and toes are crossed, hope it keeps working!

Not geeky enough, but I think, coming from a somewhat isolated, low population area, the few different ISP's at some point went through a central server, relay, whatever....and that caused the problem. Maybe GTG will have some ideas when he gets back. Doesn't seem likely that CALEA had anything to do with it or everything would have been inaccessible, not just AZH.
