I know I've done Wind Cave more often than any other hike in the valley...due mostly to my living near Usery Mtn Park...this fact got me thinking...
What's your most frequently hiked trail? _________________ -Colin

White Tanks.....A loop going out Ford Canyon Trail and in Willow Spring. Not my favorite, but most frequent 'cause I'm less than half hour's drive to the trail head. _________________ John Richardson and Richie Rich, El Perro de Playero

Mine would have to be the Mid-State Trail here in Pennsylvania from Seven Mountians to Pine Grove Mountian. This is an amazing hike. This is probably my favorite hike too in Pennsylvania. Here is a link to the Mid-State Trail. http://www.thebackpacker.com/trails/pa/trail_680.php
Here is a description of the section I usually do. I'm working on doing all 270 miles of it here eventually.

The MST proceeds north, passing through beautiful little juniata water gap, known for its scenery and excellent trout fishing. The trail ascends the ridge again with excellent vistas. The MST follows the ridge all the way to PA 26 near state college with many more vistas.
The trail enters the seven mountains region with more vistas, isolation and great scenery, including some excellent natural areas, such as bear meadows (bog) and detweiler run (old growth and rhododendron thickets). The trail passes through small penn roosevelt state park and again ascends with more vistas. The MST crosses underneath US 322, continuing along the ridge with more views. Poe Paddy State Park is reached along scenic penns creek and its winding gorge, more great trout fishing. The trail crosses the creek and goes thorugh an old RR tunnel, follows a RR grade and again ascends. R.B. Winter State Park is reached and the trail continues north and passes under I-80 along scenic streams, vistas, isolation and great scenery. |

It would probably be Carney Spring to West Boulder Saddle, since West Boulder Saddle is the departure point for the Ridgeline, West Boulder Canyon and Dacite Super Loop, all some of my favorite hikes. _________________ Our lives are not determined by what happens to us but by how we react to what happens, not by what life brings to us, but by the attitude we bring to life. |

Camelback Mountain is the most frequent for me since I have moved down here, a close place to get in shape and stay that way. I have been doing it at 5:00am once or twice a week throughout the summer. When the weather permits it I go end to end to end.
The only hike I have done more in this state is Mount Elden in Flagstaff, it was my training mountain, now Camelback is. _________________ Mountains are there to be climbed!

Horton Creek. Due to the fact that I did it early this summer then after that there were several more groups that wanted to do it and I just can't turn down a hike on a day off so I went along for the hike of it! _________________ ~~~Diane~~~

Groom Creek loop and Isabella which is part of the loop, trails #307 and #377. Spruce Mountain, Prescott. I've done Isabella twice and Groom Creek once.
The view from the lookout is breathtaking and as near to heaven as I can imagine it to be! My favorite hike so far.
I have only done one hike in Phoenx since I moved here, so I'm sure the Supe's and White Tank Mts will become my frequent hikes when the weather cools down. Sixty minutes and 15 minutes is much nicer than 2-2 1/2 hour one-way drive to Prescott, Sedona and Payson.
