High wind? Yesterday a trip into the West Fork of Oak Creek was a great way to get out of the scouring winds. I like skies with drama and I like pure blue. The photographic opportunities are stunning in stormy weather.

I don't want to die of boredom in some hotel room. That would be bad. A good clothing system is armor against the storm so I always carry it in my kit. I like it all save blizzards. Just being out in it is exhilirating. Yes, have a bit of common sense and be ready to move when you have to. Mr. Green

Being aware is a must in any weather. Some of my best days have been easing through wild atmosphere. It changes the location completely at times.

This was a fun avatar to make Kent. I got the idea about halfway through the journey and then later on came across this scene. I came in stage right and jumped into the scene after dropping a tiny black bit of rock on the focus point which showed me where to place the knife. The dramatic skies and light helped to turn this into what it is.

Robert, Mr. Green

Sometimes the beauty is just too much to take.

As for weather, I got hit with ice pellets today up here in the red rock country. The clouds hung ragged at times and the wind blew cold. Good day for a hike. Mr. Green

after living in arizona for so long, one gets pretty tired of the sunny skies...any change in the weather around here is a treat and anyone who tells you differently hasn't been here very long.

when there is a weather event here in phoenix - we get "Total Team Coverage" on the local news channels

I guess today is one of those days....The roads are a little icy and its just too cold. I don't feel like being out in it. I think I'll just get on the lousy treadmill instead.
