Zebras out playing

There's a live webcam set up in Africa that my student's and I have been enjoying. Go to wavelit.com then check on wildlife on the side bar and then on Africam. This morning there were about six zebras enjoying a morning munch. You can't always see much but at times it looks like a live broadcast of the Lion King. Thought some of you may enjoy the site.

Careful...it can be addicting. I had a parent call me and tell me they caught their kid on the internet at 4 in the morning...watching elephants! They laughed and said that was a first.

You know, that's a really cool idea. I'd like to set up an AZH nature cam somewhere. We could give it a new location each month and different members could take the camera to different spots each month for the camera spot of the month (CSOTM). I wonder what channels I would have to follow and for how long to get a grant for that?

It's a little before 7 here in Michigan and a little before 2 in Africa ... many animals are out now by the animal reserve. The Zebras are my favorites but yesterday afternoon the kids and I saw Elephants by the watering hole and they had trouble concentrating back on book work after that.

Todd, I would love to be able to check out the Arizona desert the same way.

Linda, Thanks for the link. I work nights, so I just got to watch the sun come up in Africa. Hopefully the wildlife will be along soon!
