I kind of like the photo as is with the folders can, propane, sneakers and plastic. It tells a story and is more unique. It gives the viewer more of a where the heck is that look and it makes you scan the photo even closer to find more unique things.

I don't have a problem cloning, but i try to keep "photographic integrety" as i normally won't change what was actually there. When I do go nuts with the clone tool, I tell people it is a created shot as it is never my intention to trick anyone.

Most of you should recognize this: http://www.pbase.com/darylf/image/42871130

It's goldfield on a normal crowded day. I cloned out 10-20 people and all the signs and advertisements to make it look like a un touched ghost town. If you look close you'll see repeated patterns on some of the wood walls where I had to clone a lot of stuff out. I started by just removing one person that was cluttering the shot, and then a couple hours later I had this.

All true as well. It is an interesting mix.

I posted some pics from the Petrified Forest. They are not Photoshopped. They have only very minor color boosts and some sharpening. I exported the photos into a folder at a lower quality, and they do appear to have suffered. I did this because I was having some internet difficulties, so I wanted to make uploading these pics as painless as possible. They will suffice for the internet.
