I'd like to bring to your attention an extremely important topic that I'd like you to consider supporting . I encourage you to visit this website www.savethepeak.com to educate yourself on the devastation this development will cause.

Picacho Peak State Park and the surrounding areas are currently in danger. Union Pacific plans to purchase just less than 1500 acres of land at the base of the peak to build a mega railroad hump/switching yard. This yard will cover an area that is over six miles long, along the I-10 corridor.

This yard will adversely affect the natural environment and future economic development of Picacho Peak State Park area. We need your help to fight this “David and Goliath” battle -- with your support we can convince Union Pacific and the State of Arizona to choose an alternative site that does not destroy our coveted natural resource for generations to come.

I'd like to persuade you to visit the "How Can You Help" page on our website and support us soon as possible as this matter is going to the Pinal Board of Supervisors on November 29th for final approval. We need to raise awareness and we desperately need your support!!!
